A mask of infinity

A mask of infinity.

In the eyes of the old, in the eyes of the new.

In the eyes of the new, in the eyes of the old.

I see the same you.

We are born with a mask of infinity which protects the core from any harm. The value of the infinity mask is threatened by the many labels created, in our endeavors to make sense of our surroundings. We tend to label people and categorize them as if they were “that one” thing. I'd strongly argue that we aren't “that one” thing. Thoughts and perceptions change depending on many variables, such as mood, place, situation, people, etc. Although we all wear a mask of infinity, possible to adapt to anything, at the core, we are still the same person. Don’t try to be different, be you. “Different” is a label created by the naked mind. The inexperienced and the unknowing mind.

Trying to change things in your life?

You can change your habits and discipline the mind. Don't get discouraged if you find the same old you at the end of the road.

Don’t try to run away from yourself, be yourself. Accepting and being yourself doesn't mean you have to be stubborn and stick to a label. Give an ear to the commentators not to change but to progress. Don't get stubborn on the outside in fear of losing face. Don’t get fooled by the mirrors of the future created by the mind. Give up when the core of you sends the right signals, not when the mind tricks you into it.

The mask of infinity can be interpreted in many different ways. I have mine. Your friends have theirs. Make yours. Only you know the true pain of the thorns you have to walk on everyday. Only you know the true weight of the hardships suffocating you.

In the eyes of the new, in the eyes of the old.

In the eyes of the old, in the eyes of the new.

I see the same you.
